"CONSERVATA" TIPOLOGY
DESCRIPTION
"Conservata" Dannata on a Benotto "Lusso" frame late 1940s. Renowned Piedmontese marque, it was founded in Turin by Giacinto Benotto in 1931. Dannata assembled around the found frame alone, with aesthetically and mechanically particular components, from the galvanised steel mudguards to the shock-absorbed fork typically used for motorised bicycles (Mosquito type), beautiful to look at and ideal for city use on cobblestones. Returning to the features of the well-preserved frame in its original black colour, the invisible tube welds at the steering and saddle nodes are worthy of note. Closing the circle is a vintage Brooks corsa saddle (or alternative) and the usual one-speed (or alternative) coaster hub braking system.
